BOX STOCK/HORNET RULES
THIS
CLASS IS DESIGNED TO BE AN ENTRY LEVEL DIVISION!
1.
SAFETY:
ROLL CAGE: 4 point cage mandatory, NO FULL CAGES. If bolted or welded
to floor pan it must have 4X4X1/4 " plate on top of floor pan
and 4X4X1/4 " plate underneath floor pan sandwiching floor
pan between them. Must be inspected and approved by tech director.
May gut drivers door for door bar clearance only. May gut passenger
door for bars. If its gutted and it was not necessary you will be
required to add 50 lbs in passenger floor pan.
SAFETY HARNES: Minimum 5 point harness no older than 3 years. Harness
must be fastened to roll cage. Must be inspected and approved by
tech director. Must have aluminum racing seat mounted to cage. Must
be inspected and approved by tech director. Must have window net.
Must have fire extinguisher with in reach of driver and safety personnel.
Must be in holder, not zip tied or taped in. NO MIRRORS AT ALL.
May use a detachable steering wheel hub. Must have master shut off
switch with in reach of driver and safety personnel. Most of this
class of cars have fuel injection and must have master shut off
switch's.

DRIVER SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Full fire 2 piece or 1 piece suit with
no rips or tears. Racing shoes, neck brace or hans, racing gloves,
snell approved 2000 or newer helmet. All must be inspected and approved
by tech director.

CAR OR TRUCK:
VIN # must be on vehicle.
Wheel base must be OEM stock.
1975 thru 2002 vehicles. ONLY FRONT OR REAR WHEEL DRIVE.
NO GT MODELS OF ANY KIND, NO TURBOS, NO ROTARY ENGINES, NO SUPERCHARGERS,
NO 4 WHEEL STEER, NO ALL WHEEL DRIVE.
It is to remain as it was from factory OEM. No altering computer,
must be the computer for the make, model and year of vehicle being
used.
Below are the only options you may do:
4 cylinders 16 valves MAX
6 cylinders 18 valves MAX.
Maximum engine size up to 3.3 liters.
Transaxles and rear differentials must remain unlocked (1 wheel
pulling) NO ¾ LOCKED.
If vehicle you are using cam with traction control it MUST be disabled
and be inspected by tech director.
Transmission is to be stock OEM for the make, model and year car/truck
being used.
May relocate battery, if inside drivers area it must be in sealed
box. Must be approved by tech director.
May camber right side wheels a maximum 3 degrees negative.
Drivers side wheels are to be 0 degree (straight up)
May use 1 spring rubber in right front.
No spring rubbers anywhere else, except RF.
Springs must be for make, model and year vehicle being used.
Fuel unleaded pump gas only. Must contain 10% to 12 % ethanol (this
will be checked on a week to week basis).
BRAKES: Factory OEM brakes. All 4 wheel must work, OEM STOCK.
Emergency brake must be NON functional, if it is working it will
result in a DQ.
TIRES: 60, 65, 70, 75 Must be same on all 4 corners of car.
WHEELS: Factory stock wheels, steel or aluminum. No racing wheels.
No offset wheels.
FUEL CELL/TANK: If factory fuel tank is in front of rear end you
may use factory tank, If factory tank is behind rear end you must
use fuel cell mounted in trunk. Must be approved by tech director.
All electric fuel pumps must have master cut off switch within reach
of driver and safety personnel.
All flammable material must be removed from drivers compartment.
All glass marker lights, headlights must be removed from vehicle.
NO MIRRORS PERIOD.
May remove muffler, must exit behind driver.
Air bags must be removed.
IN
THE FAIRNESS OF COMPETITION NFS HAS THE RIGHT TO ADD WEIGHT. ALL
ADD ON WEIGHT PER TRACK MUST BE PAINTED YELLOW.
IN
THE RULES STATED ABOVE, THESE ARE THE ONLY OPTIONS ALLOWED, ANYTHING
ELSE WILL RESULT IN A DQ!!!!!
